Rare Egyptian Scarab dated 500 B.C. is encased in an 18K bezel with a 10K backsheet and dots of 10K gold. The necklace measures 18" Long on braided leather with a 14K lobster clasp.
The Egyptians used scarabs as a sign of regeneration. They often placed them over the heart of the deceased to wish them a good afterlife.
